•Background in the principles and practices of electrical generation, transmission and distribution, engineering design and construction. •Good technical knowledge of distribution transformers backed by knowledge of transformer testing procedures and fault-finding techniques. •Good experience in testing and commissioning of power system protection relays and control systems. •Experience in the installation, testing and commissioning of high and medium voltage switch-gear. •Good trouble shooting skills for protection control schemes, operating equipment and devices. •Knowledge of communicating with relays through the human interface and computer operated software. •Knowledge of calculating and implementing settings of distance, over current and differential relays. •Supervisory experience, including setting goals and objectives, project development, planning and organization, budget monitoring and cost control. •AC/DC Variable speed drives. •Operating Regulations for High Voltage Switching (ORHVS).
