I started my career in the meat industry in 1982 in Germany. After 3 years, I went abroad to the US and Canada to learn the international standard of meat processing and products for 4 years. I brought over my first oversea experience back to Germany and I hold a managerial position in the meat processing companies than already for 17 years. I managed to catch an opportunity to work in Russia when a German company wants to build a new factory in Russia back in 2007. I had my first experience to build up a new factory and set up production from livestock transport the killing till deboning and portion cutting till final packing for the supermarket. From the surplus stock, we were producing sausage and other convenience products. I mapped the process and prepared SOP for the entire factory staff in order to transform the unskilled worker to skill workers meeting the international standard. In 2009, I moved to Dubai. I have successfully developed and built a team to increase sales for the company when I worked in Dubai and thus assisted the company to expand 40% of company capacity. Besides manufacturing and financial, I also gave my in-depth technical input to increase product safety & quality in the company. I improved the shelf life of products and optimized the workflow. In addition, I built a strong relationship with suppliers, local regulatory and customer in order to always keep myself with up-to-date information about the industry and customer. Moreover, I worked with the management team to develop and implement a strategic budget to ensure the long term technical and financial viability of the sites of manufacturing processes and ensures alignment of the budget to the divisional and corporate Supply Chain strategy. After relocated to Singapore in 2014, I joined a Swiss company. My production & I contributed to more than 25% of sales in the first year and the company doubled the size of the wholesale and retail outlet as well as a plant to continue supports the increasing business. I implemented the production of Salami and Bacon and increase Ham production to fill out the additional production space. Besides the hard skill side of the business, I empowered subordinates by way of training, information sharing, coaching, feedback appraisals and delegation of people and organizational capabilities. Moreover, I implemented a double shift to increase capacity and most important I developed and executed the site succession plan to ensure business sustainability. In addition, I worked with the supply chain to utilize the volume leverage strategy in order to improve product margin. One great achievement here is I assisted the company obtained ISO Certification. At the end of 2018, I received a project to work in Qatar providing consultancy service assisting the owner. I am providing processed meat set up and production support for the largest FMCC distribution companies in the State of Qatar. I had product experience since 1982 while producing all kinds of European, American, and Arabic and Asian products. With 37 years of experience, I understand the different cultures with the demand for a different product very well. I did R&D for the Company and Customer Signature products. I involved heavily in developing new products to suit the local market and culture as I understand this is a key role to increase productivity and grow the business especially to introduce new products during the festival season. I also work with Marketing to develop a product marketing strategy. From the above qualification, skill and working experience, I strongly felt that I am a good candidate meeting the job requirement.
