About the Role Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level within a dynamic, international organisation? This is a unique opportunity to join Mediq's Nordic Finance team as Business Controller Norway, where you will sit at the heart of the finance function and play a pivotal role in shaping strategic and operational decision-making across the region. The Business Controller will work for the Nordics business of Mediq, supported by the Business Service Center in Vilnius, and will collaborate closely with finance colleagues across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. This position offers exceptional visibility, meaningful involvement in key business initiatives, and the freedom to lead improvement projects that directly influence profitability and operational effectiveness. Be part of a collaborative, international finance team spanning multiple countries and cultures Enjoy the autonomy to work independently, take initiative, and drive meaningful improvements Work in a purpose-driven healthcare environment where patients are at the centre of everything we do Join a company undergoing an exciting transformation, where your contributions will have real and lasting impact Key Responsibilities Plan, perform, and continuously improve the full performance cycle, including the annual budget process, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reporting Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting to Mediq Nordics leadership and the wider Mediq Group Analyse, report on, and actively drive improvements in liquidity management across the Nordic region Review financial information and key financial ratios, conduct thorough cause analyses, and propose well-considered corrective measures Serve as the finance representative in cross-functional projects focused on increasing profitability and operational effectiveness Support and contribute to potential acquisitions and/or divestments, including financial due diligence and integration activities Develop and maintain financial models that support strategic planning and business decision-making Act as a trusted finance partner to operational and commercial stakeholders, translating financial data into clear, actionable insight Contribute to the ongoing development and standardisation of management reporting frameworks across the Nordics Requirements University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytical finance role Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel; hands-on experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI Experience with IFS and/or Cognos Controller is considered a strong advantage Demonstrated ability to oversee complex, cross-functional processes and communicate clear recommendations to senior management Solid competencies in financial planning, financial modelling, and accounting principles Strong analytical skills with a data-driven, strategic mindset A proactive, positive attitude with a genuine passion for financial analysis and continuous improvement Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English What We Offer A full-time, permanent position within a respected and growing international healthcare organisation A high-impact role with significant exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making A collaborative, inclusive, and internationally diverse working environment The opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that improves patient lives across Europe Competitive salary and an attractive benefits package commensurate with experience Working Language: Norwegian or English Location: Oslo, Norway (with some travel across the Nordics)
