We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our Hong Kong Compliance team and play a meaningful role in implementing and advancing the Asia Pacific Compliance program. Based in Hong Kong, this is a high-impact position that sits at the intersection of regulatory oversight, business partnership, and operational excellence. You will work closely with business teams and regional stakeholders to ensure robust compliance practices across our asset management operations, while contributing to broader global and cross-border compliance initiatives. Responsibilities Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance by performing regulatory filings, submitting licensing applications, and maintaining alignment with applicable regulatory obligations Provide day-to-day regulatory compliance advice to business units on a business-as-usual basis, acting as a trusted compliance partner Monitor and manage regulatory change by tracking new regulatory developments, analysing the business impact of emerging requirements, and supporting the implementation of necessary adjustments Administer the firm's Code of Ethics program, including managing employee requests related to personal account dealing, gifts and entertainment, and outside business activities Review marketing materials prepared for both retail and institutional audiences to ensure regulatory accuracy and compliance Design and conduct routine compliance monitoring and testing activities to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement Deliver compliance training to employees across the business, promoting a strong culture of regulatory awareness Support cross-border marketing initiatives and contribute to global and regional compliance projects as required Actively participate in technology and AI-related compliance projects, including initiatives focused on automation, process optimisation, and the adoption of productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Power Platform Requirements 5–8 years of compliance experience within the asset management industry, or equivalent experience working with regulatory authorities Demonstrated working knowledge of the asset management industry; familiarity with traditional fund business is strongly preferred In-depth knowledge of SFC regulatory requirements, with particular focus on SFC Type 1, 4, and 9 licences High degree of motivation, attention to detail, and personal accountability, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels Fluency in both English and Chinese (spoken and written) is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as data and reporting tools such as Power BI and AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot Preferred Qualifications Conversational proficiency in Putonghua (Mandarin) Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, FRM, or LLB Practical experience with AI and technology tools, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Power Platform Demonstrated experience in automation and process optimisation within a compliance operations context What We Offer Allianz Global Investors is committed to creating an environment where our people can thrive professionally and personally.
