**International and Indigenous Languages Elementary Program** **Language Instructors - Barrie** **Position Type:** Temporary, 2.5 hours Saturday Mornings (excluding holiday weekends) **Location:** Online delivery with possible in-person sessions pending enrollment, Barrie/Bradford area **Compensation:** $28.22 + 4% per hour **Position Overview:** Under the direction of the Supervisor of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Continuing Education School, the International & Indigenous Languages Instructor will deliver the Board's International & Indigenous Languages program in one of the following languages: Korean, Tamil, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, or Portuguese. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver engaging language instruction following established curriculum guidelines - Create comprehensive lesson plans and plan interactive activities for children - Maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all students, staff, and community members - Organize a minimum of two showcase events to highlight students' language skills (Christmas and year-end presentations) - Attend all required virtual meetings related to the program - Ensure effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues **Required Qualifications:** - Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent - Demonstrated experience working with children in educational settings - Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively - Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Computer proficiency - Access to reliable transportation for travel within the Board's jurisdiction **Preferred Qualifications:** - First Aid Certification **Application Process:** Complete applications must include a cover letter, resume, and three professional references.
