About the Role

We are looking for a talented and driven Solution Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be at the heart of product development — designing and implementing new features, resolving bugs, and delivering high-quality software that thousands of accounting and audit professionals depend on every day. You will work with core web technologies including JavaScript (Angular), HTML, and CSS, contributing meaningfully to a collaborative Agile team that values innovation, ownership, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• New Functionality & Bug Fixes: Develop new features and resolve bugs based on user stories, ensuring high-quality, reliable software delivery that earns the confidence of testers and stakeholders
• Core Development: Apply a strong foundation in core development principles, leveraging JavaScript (Angular), HTML, and CSS to enhance existing functionality and build new capabilities
• Code Reviews & Collaboration: Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain high engineering standards across the team
• Build & Deployment Proficiency: Maintain full knowledge of the team's build system and deployment pipeline, ensuring smooth, efficient development and operational processes
• Feature Ownership & Design: Take end-to-end ownership of features from initial design through implementation, making informed trade-offs in technology decisions and ensuring thorough documentation from design specs to inline code comments
• Drive Operational Excellence: Proactively identify and eliminate persistent root causes of issues affecting customers and the team, continuously improving development and deployment practices
• Operational Support & Problem Solving: Participate in on-call rotations, responding to and resolving operational issues, collaborating with teammates to identify root causes, and taking initiative to address critical issues without waiting for direction
• Cross-Team Communication: Collaborate effectively across functions — including CloudOps, DevOps, Product, and Design — and represent the engineering team confidently when interfacing with other departments and stakeholders
• Agile Collaboration: Work within an Agile/Scrum framework using tools such as JIRA and GitHub, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives while adapting to evolving priorities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and core web development principles, frameworks, and design patterns
• Hands-on experience with Angular or similar modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly GitHub, as well as network and browser debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools, Postman, and Fiddler
• Demonstrated experience working within Scrum/Agile methodologies, navigating changing priorities and collaborating across geographically distributed, cross-functional teams
• Strong communication, time management, interpersonal, and team-building skills
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for delivering impactful software solutions
