About the Role

As a Station Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of generating plant equipment across Dublin Stations. Working as part of a dedicated shift operations team, you will monitor, assess, test, and operate plant systems in line with strict safety, environmental, commercial, and chemical requirements. You will also play an active role in front-line maintenance and troubleshooting, contributing to both routine operations and planned outage activities.

This is a shift-based role, and flexibility to provide shift cover when required is essential. A shift allowance of 33% is applicable while working shift.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant systems, maintaining the highest standards of safety for all personnel on site
  • Carry out day-to-day operational activities including monitoring, assessing, testing, and operating plant equipment
  • Operate and maintain the power plant in full compliance with safety, environmental, commercial, and chemical requirements
  • Maintain accurate shift operations records and submit reports as required by the Shift Team Leader and/or Operations Manager
  • Support the wider shift operations team in their day-to-day activities, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing working environment
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and systems relating to plant operations, testing, and associated activities
  • Participate in initial front-line maintenance, troubleshooting, and outage maintenance activities as required
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental obligations, including compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and Safe Systems of Work

Requirements

Essential

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a process or operations environment
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, process, and control information in order to respond appropriately to plant operational conditions
  • Flexibility and availability to provide shift cover as required

Desirable

  • A full Category B driving licence
  • A craft qualification in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Fitting
  • Relevant Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) tickets and qualifications
  • A solid working knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards, including awareness of Safe Systems of Work
  • Experience supporting or supervising contractor activities on site
  • Familiarity with Maintenance and/or Operations Management Systems
