Job Description

Receiving Inspector – Aviation Parts & Compliance

Satair, an Airbus Services Company | Copenhagen | Permanent

About the Role

Satair is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to join our warehouse and logistics team. In this critical role, you will be the first line of defence in ensuring that all incoming aviation parts and materials meet the strict safety, quality, and compliance standards that define our industry. Aviation safety is not just a priority — it is the foundation of everything we do, and this role places you at the very heart of that commitment.

As part of a global organisation supporting a $3.9 billion turnover across 12 sites worldwide, you will be joining a team of over 2,000 professionals dedicated to keeping aircraft flying and extending their operational lifespan. This is a permanent position offering genuine opportunities for growth, international collaboration, and meaningful contribution to aviation's digital and sustainable transformation.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility is to ensure the complete accuracy and compliance of all incoming products upon receipt. This encompasses documentation, part numbers, specifications, descriptions, quantities, and the physical condition and quality of every item received — all in alignment with Satair's quality objectives and aviation regulatory requirements.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Visually inspect each incoming product upon arrival to verify compliance with applicable aviation safety regulations and internal standards
  • Accurately process and verify all accompanying documentation, ensuring alignment with purchase orders, airworthiness certificates, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Direct and dispatch received goods to the correct storage areas in line with company procedures and aviation safety guidelines
  • Initiate and manage the claims process when parts fail to meet required standards or when any deviation is identified during inspection
  • Handle and manage dangerous goods in accordance with applicable regulations, where required
  • Manage export-controlled products in compliance with international trade regulations and internal policies
  • Store products correctly in line with regulatory requirements, company policy, and manufacturer specifications
  • Liaise with internal teams including procurement, quality assurance, and warehouse operations to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth inbound workflows
  • Maintain accurate records within internal systems, supporting traceability and audit readiness
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the receiving and quality inspection function
  • Uphold awareness of potential compliance risks and act with integrity in all tasks, as a foundation for the company's reputation and sustainable growth

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who brings a strong quality-focused mindset and a genuine commitment to aviation safety compliance.

  • 3–5 years of experience in a goods inbound, warehouse receiving, or logistics role, with a focus on quality control and compliance strongly preferred
  • A solid understanding of inspection processes, documentation verification, and regulatory compliance within a regulated industry — aviation experience is a distinct advantage
  • Valid forklift licence (Category B) with demonstrated practical experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with SAP or a comparable warehouse management or ERP system is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, to a professional standard — essential for documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple incoming shipments and priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods handling regulations (e.g. IATA) is a benefit
  • Awareness of export control regulations is advantageous
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse, international team
