You know how to motivate teams, maintain sharp service standards, and make guests feel like they're part of the party. **About Us:** Red Eye Bar is part of the Nomads Hostels group, operating venues across Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand. Our St Kilda location accommodates 231 guests and operates seven days a week, serving a diverse mix of travellers, expats, students, and locals. We operate a restaurant five days a week and host an exciting calendar of weekly events including Melbourne's biggest Bingo night, trivia, beer pong, DJ takeovers, and more. Our vibe is high-energy, cheeky, and welcoming with a simple mission: guests have fun, staff have fun, and the bar makes coin. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead and motivate teams through training, management, and front-line leadership * Drive daily food and beverage revenue targets * Manage wage costs and delegate tasks effectively * Oversee restaurant operations and coordinate with kitchen teams * Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety and Victorian Liquor requirements * Handle budgets, cash management, and end-of-day reconciliations * Resolve customer complaints professionally with appropriate use of humor * Take full responsibility for venue operations and staff during shifts * **Additional duties may include:** Stocktakes, forecasting, rostering, event planning, recruitment, and administrative tasks requiring full venue ownership **What We're Looking For:** * Previous hospitality supervisory or management experience in bar/restaurant/venue environments * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to inspire and motivate others * Excellent communication skills and ability to perform under pressure * Experience with cash handling and venue operations * Availability for nights and weekends (with emphasis on midweek events) * Sense of humor and personality - this is not a conventional bar role **Benefits:** * Free accommodation across Nomads hostel network * Food, beverage, and accommodation discounts within the group * Career advancement opportunities within a global hospitality organization * Opportunity to work in one of Melbourne's most iconic hostel bars * Dynamic, vibrant work environment with international clientele * Employee mentoring program * Staff drinks **Employment:** Full-time and part-time positions available **Salary:** $55,000 - $75,000 per year **Location:** In person, St Kilda
