Job Description

Student IT Supporter — Satair IT Support | Copenhagen

About the Role

Are you currently studying within the field of IT? Do you have a natural flair for solving problems and a genuine motivation for helping others? If so, this could be exactly the opportunity you have been looking for.

Satair IT Support is seeking a student worker to join our Copenhagen office and warehouse at Amager Landevej 147A, 2770 Kastrup. As a Student IT Supporter, you will become part of a global IT Support team with colleagues based in Copenhagen, Singapore, Beijing, and the US — providing IT support to the business on a 24/7 follow-the-sun basis.

This is a part-time position of 15–20 hours per week, scheduled across Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:30, with flexibility to accommodate your study schedule during demanding academic periods. You will gain hands-on, practical experience of how IT operates within a large international organisation — experience that will be genuinely valuable as you build your career in the industry.

Your Responsibilities

As the first point of contact for colleagues experiencing IT issues or submitting service requests, you will play a central role in maintaining the productivity and satisfaction of the wider business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Resolving IT incidents of varying complexity, escalating where appropriate to specialist teams and guiding colleagues to the right experts
  • Fulfilling service requests including IT onboarding and offboarding — setting up user accounts, managing access permissions, and preparing IT equipment for use
  • Ensuring all Identity and Access Management (IAM) activities are carried out with appropriate attention, accuracy, and care
  • Managing IT asset requests and maintaining IT asset management processes in line with established procedures
  • Capturing and sharing knowledge through the creation of well-structured Knowledge Articles
  • Proposing ideas for process improvements within IT Support
  • Collaborating closely with the various Service Desks across the wider Airbus organisation
  • Applying the principles of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) within the IT Service Management tooling

What You Will Bring

We are looking for someone who is approachable, proactive, and communicates with warmth and clarity — whether speaking with a highly technical colleague or someone with limited IT knowledge. The ideal candidate:

  • Is currently enrolled in a study programme within the field of IT (specific discipline is not a requirement)
  • Communicates fluently in English, both spoken and written — this is our working language
  • Has general IT knowledge and a natural ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Is comfortable with Windows OS; familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets) is an advantage following our recent platform transition
  • Has a basic understanding of one or more of the following:
  • Networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Hardware (PCs, monitors, headsets)
  • Google Workspace applications
  • Windows operating systems
  • Is detail-oriented and able to follow agreed procedures consistently
  • Can translate technical information into clear, easy-to-understand language for non-technical colleagues
  • Is able to reprioritise tasks effectively when urgent issues arise — and just as importantly, follow through on what was paused
  • Has experience writing documentation or structured communications (an advantage for IT ticket handling)
  • Demonstrates initiative and is not hesitant to suggest improvements

Your default approach to the unknown should not be "I don't know" — but rather "I'll investigate and come back to you." A degree of patience and the ability to maintain oversight on busy days are equally important qualities.

What We Offer

  • A meaningful role within a global IT organisation connected to the Airbus group
  • Structured onboarding and continuous on-the-job training
  • The opportunity to obtain an ITIL certification where appropriate
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate your academic commitments
  • A collaborative, inclusive team environment with colleagues across multiple international locations
  • Valuable industry experience that will strengthen your professional profile and support your future career in IT

Our Commitment to Inclusion

Airbus and Satair are committed to achieving workforce diversity and creating an inclusive working environment. All applications are welcome regardless of social or cultural background, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or religious belief. We are committed to equal opportunities for all and will never request any form of monetary exchange as part of a recruitment process.
