About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented Merchant Support Intern to join our Operations team. This is a practical, field-involved role where you will contribute directly to the end-to-end deployment of hardware solutions for our merchant clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the preparation, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of POS systems and related devices — gaining valuable real-world exposure to enterprise IT operations, client-facing deployments, and operational logistics within a fast-paced fintech environment. Responsibilities Prepare, configure, and test hardware devices including POS systems, kiosks, printers, tablets, and related peripherals ahead of deployment Assist with on-site deployment and installation at merchant and client locations, ensuring all equipment is properly set up and operational Perform hardware and system troubleshooting during and after deployment, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner Coordinate with internal teams to gather the necessary resources, documentation, and information required for smooth deployment execution Assist in inventory management, including tracking equipment stock levels and maintaining accurate records Maintain clear and organised operational documentation to support knowledge sharing and process continuity Support day-to-day operational workflows and contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of service delivery Provide general IT operational assistance as required, adapting to evolving business needs across deployment projects Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Basic understanding of hardware components and IT systems, including networking fundamentals and device configuration Comfortable working in a hands-on, field-based environment, including on-site visits to client locations Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to troubleshooting Good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams effectively A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic, fast-growing technology company Prior experience with POS systems or IT support is an advantage but not required What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in a real-world fintech and retail technology environment Exposure to enterprise-level hardware deployment and IT operations workflows Opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a company backed by Ant International, one of Asia's most prominent digital financial technology groups Practical skills in system configuration, troubleshooting, and operational logistics A collaborative and supportive team culture that values initiative and continuous learning Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
