About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in a fully remote capacity across Europe. In this role, you will be a key technical contributor responsible for managing and maintaining production Linux environments, driving infrastructure best practices, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of critical systems. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues on challenging, real-world projects that offer genuine opportunities to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain production Linux environments with a focus on reliability and real-time operational excellence
  • Administer core Linux components including systemd, networking, storage and LVM, file permissions, SSH, and system patching
  • Design and implement infrastructure and deployment best practices to support scalable, resilient environments
  • Lead and participate in incident response and conduct thorough root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence
  • Apply security best practices including system hardening, least-privilege access controls, firewall configuration, and system auditing
  • Leverage SELinux or AppArmor for mandatory access control where applicable
  • Produce clear, thorough technical documentation and communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure planning, capacity management, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with evolving Linux ecosystem developments, tools, and security advisories

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing production Linux environments in real-time operational settings
  • Strong Linux administration skills, including proficiency with systemd, networking, storage/LVM, permissions, SSH, and patching workflows
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure and deployment best practices and experience working in structured change management environments
  • Demonstrated experience with incident management and structured root-cause analysis
  • Strong grasp of security fundamentals: hardening, least-privilege principles, firewalling, and auditing
  • Experience with SELinux or AppArmor is a plus
  • Excellent documentation skills and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to diverse audiences
  • Fluent English is mandatory — strong written and verbal communication is essential for this role

Benefits

  • Permanent, no-term full-time contract
  • Health Insurance
  • 22 days of paid vacation annually
  • 4 additional days off per year (Carnival, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and your Birthday)
  • Meal Allowance via Coverflex card
  • Referral Bonus program
  • Special discounts and flexible benefit options
  • Annual training budget to support your continued professional development
  • A collaborative, team-oriented culture that genuinely values its people
  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamically growing international company
  • Challenging, high-impact projects that push you to learn and grow continuously
