About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Program Manager to join our growing team on a fully remote basis. In this role, you will lead complex, multi-team technology programs — with a particular focus on eCommerce platforms and digital retail transformation. You will be responsible for orchestrating delivery across multiple workstreams, managing stakeholders at all levels, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals. This is a senior leadership role that demands both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Location: 100% Remote — open to candidates based in Portugal or Brazil
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale software development programs, overseeing multiple concurrent workstreams and cross-functional teams of 20+ people
- Drive end-to-end delivery of eCommerce projects, including platform migrations and re-platforming initiatives within retail environments
- Define and govern program structures, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and change control processes
- Apply and champion Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring teams operate efficiently and with clarity
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, third-party vendors, and internal delivery teams — facilitating alignment and resolving escalations proactively
- Own and manage program budgets, ensuring financial transparency and accountability across all workstreams
- Oversee release management processes, coordinating deployments across cloud and on-premises environments using CI/CD pipelines
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and dependencies, maintaining clear communication with all parties throughout
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within delivery teams
- Report on program status, milestones, and key metrics to executive-level stakeholders in a clear and structured manner
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Software Development Project or Programme Management
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams and workstreams, including teams of 20 or more people
- Proven track record delivering eCommerce projects within a retail environment, with direct experience in platform migration or re-platforming initiatives
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
- Hands-on experience with stakeholder management, vendor management, and budget oversight
- Working knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, version control with Git, and CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins
- Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and risk management skills
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
