About the Role
We are looking for an organized, creative, and customer-focused Visual Merchandiser / Sales Associate to join our Copenhagen store team. This is a permanent, full-time position available to start as soon as possible.
In this dual role, you will be at the heart of the store experience — responsible both for delivering an inspiring, visually stunning retail environment and for providing exceptional, personalized service to every customer who walks through the door. You will serve as a true brand ambassador, translating Marimekko's global creative vision into a local store experience that reflects the brand's spirit and values.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall visual standard and inspirational look of the store in line with Marimekko's global guidelines
- Plan, execute, and update in-store campaigns, product displays, and window presentations with precision and creativity
- Ensure consistent visual merchandising standards across all product categories, including clothing, accessories, and home décor
- Drive sales actively on the shop floor by engaging customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored product recommendations
- Deliver an unforgettable, high-quality shopping experience that reflects Marimekko's brand values at every touchpoint
- Collaborate with the store team to maintain an organized, well-stocked, and beautifully presented store environment
- Stay current with retail trends, visual merchandising developments, and evolving consumer behaviors to continuously elevate the in-store experience
- Support the store manager and team with day-to-day retail operations as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in visual merchandising, fashion retail, design, or a related field
- A genuine passion for fashion, design, and home décor
- Excellent sales skills and a naturally service-oriented, customer-first approach
- Strong eye for detail, color, and composition with a high visual standard
- Up to date with current retail and visual merchandising trends and consumer behaviors
- An innovative thinker with strong execution power — able to turn creative ideas into polished results
- A sense of responsibility, reliability, and pride in your work
- Strong teamwork skills, flexibility, and the ability to perform well under pressure
- Energetic, brave, and positive with a can-do attitude
