About the Role

This is a key fixed term, part time opportunity within Zespri's Commercial team, focused on Supplier Accountability reporting and analysis. Reporting to the Commercial Analyst, you will play an essential supporting role to the Commercial Management team, the Supply Chain function, and the wider industry.

You will be responsible for the accurate setup, management, calculation, and reporting of Supplier Accountability systems and financial outcomes — ensuring quality results flow seamlessly from markets through to suppliers within critical industry timeframes. This role suits someone with a solid commercial background who thrives on data, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

This is a fixed term contract through to March 2028, working 22 hours per week. Hours can be arranged flexibly across 3, 4, or 5 days to suit the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and ongoing management of Supplier Accountability systems
  • Manage quality results received from markets, including daily approvals to be sent to suppliers
  • Calculate accurate financial outcomes for Supplier Accountability shipments within required industry timeframes
  • Report quality outcomes to management, suppliers, and the wider industry in a clear and timely manner
  • Resolve system issues as they arise, troubleshooting effectively and escalating where appropriate
  • Produce weekly reporting and any ad-hoc quality reports required by the Commercial team and wider Supply Chain function
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes and proactively implement enhancements to Supplier Accountability calculations
  • Demonstrate customer service excellence in all team and business interactions
  • Contribute to organisational projects, analysis, and other tasks as required

About You

You are highly detail oriented, analytically capable, and comfortable working with large and complex datasets. You bring a commercial mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • A relevant business tertiary qualification is preferred, but not essential
  • Minimum three years' experience in an analytical or commercial role (e.g. Finance Assistant or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, manipulate, and interpret large data sources
  • Advanced analytical capability is preferred, but not essential
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage competing priorities within defined timeframes
