About the Role

As the Manager, F11 Mechanical Engineering – Fab Support Technology (FST) PAC Systems, you will play a pivotal leadership role in managing and continuously improving the performance of sub-fab PAC (Process Area Chemical) systems, including pumps, abatement equipment, and chillers. Based in Taiwan, this position offers an outstanding opportunity to lead a high-caliber technical team at the heart of Micron's semiconductor manufacturing operations.

You will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, operational excellence, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards — while driving strategic improvements that optimize efficiency and support Micron's broader manufacturing goals. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the performance of critical infrastructure that underpins world-class chip production.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement system improvement strategies that enhance performance and reduce downtime
  • Ensure operational excellence through strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Develop and manage maintenance schedules to optimize system efficiency and extend equipment lifecycle
  • Monitor and analyze system performance data to proactively identify potential issues and implement timely, effective solutions
  • Lead and mentor engineering and technical staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes in response to system anomalies or failures
  • Partner with facilities, process, and equipment teams to align sub-fab operations with fab-wide production requirements
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and applicable requirements
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within your scope of work
  • Apply digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools for research, analysis, problem-solving, and operational tasks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field — or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing, industrial facilities management, or a related manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex system data and drive effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a demonstrated capacity for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with sub-fab PAC systems, including pumps, abatement equipment, and chiller systems
  • Familiarity with semiconductor industry standards, regulations, and best practices governing facilities and sub-fab operations
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing, developing, and motivating engineering teams
  • Proficiency with data analysis and performance monitoring tools, with a track record of using data to drive operational improvements
  • Experience working in a high-volume, precision manufacturing environment with a focus on uptime and system reliability
