About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Physical Security Assessments Team Lead to join our Physical Security Assessments team supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a senior, high-impact role at the intersection of operational security, risk management, and advanced manufacturing protection.
In this position, you will lead and conduct comprehensive physical security evaluations of critical semiconductor manufacturing facilities throughout APAC. You will work alongside a team of seasoned security professionals to assess the effectiveness of physical security programs — spanning people, processes, technology, and protective measures — and translate findings into actionable strategies that strengthen our global security posture.
You will play a critical role in safeguarding personnel safety, manufacturing continuity, intellectual property, and high-value assets across one of the world's most advanced and sensitive technology manufacturing environments. This role requires the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels, partnering with site leadership, corporate security, manufacturing operations, and facilities teams to drive consistent security standards across the enterprise.
Significant travel within Taiwan and across the Asia-Pacific region is required to support facility assessments, supplier reviews, and security program evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical security evaluations of semiconductor fabrication facilities, including fabs, cleanrooms, assembly and test operations, and high-value asset environments
- Assess the effectiveness of physical security controls including perimeter protection, access control systems, CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection systems, guard force operations, visitor management, and emergency response programs
- Identify security vulnerabilities that could impact personnel safety, manufacturing continuity, intellectual property protection, or critical assets
- Document findings and develop comprehensive, executive-quality security assessment reports with clear, actionable recommendations
- Partner directly with manufacturing site security teams and site leadership to implement mitigation strategies and corrective actions
- Evaluate compliance with corporate physical security standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry best practices
- Review and assess security implications of new facility designs, manufacturing expansions, and operational changes
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend solutions to enhance the protection of manufacturing facilities and critical assets
- Support supplier, contractor, and third-party security assessments where manufacturing or intellectual property risks are present
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of physical security policies, standards, and assessment methodologies
- Provide regular updates to leadership regarding security risks, mitigation progress, and overall program effectiveness
- Maintain current awareness of industry trends, threat intelligence, and best practices related to semiconductor security and critical infrastructure protection
- Apply working knowledge of artificial intelligence tools and concepts as they relate to security operations and technology evaluation
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in physical security, security assessments, or security program management
- Minimum 5 years of experience conducting physical security reviews or assessments of industrial, critical infrastructure, or manufacturing facilities
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with access control systems, intrusion detection systems, security monitoring platforms, and CCTV surveillance technologies
- Prior experience within the semiconductor industry is required
- Demonstrated knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing environments, including fabs, cleanrooms, assembly and test operations, and high-value asset protection
- Ability to travel up to 50% across the Asia-Pacific region
- Working proficiency with artificial intelligence tools and applications relevant to security operations
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of physical security experience in semiconductor manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments
- Experience protecting intellectual property, sensitive technology, and classified or proprietary manufacturing processes
