The Department of Global Studies at KFUPM Business School, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Applications are welcomed from scholars with expertise in one or more of the following disciplines:

International Law
Public Policy
Energy Policy
Nonprofit Management – including Nonprofit Studies and Nonprofit Leadership
Leadership – including Corporate Leadership and Business Leadership
History – including World History, Comparative History, and Modern History
Sociology – including Environmental Sociology
Psychology – including Social Psychology, Business Psychology, and Industrial-Organizational Psychology

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the academic and intellectual life of the department. Core responsibilities include:

Teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the relevant area of specialization
Advising and mentoring students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
Supervising MS and PhD theses and dissertations
Developing and maintaining an active, externally funded research program appropriate to the candidate's field of specialization
Publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and contributing to the scholarly community
Engaging in departmental, college, and university service and committee work
Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to support interdisciplinary research and teaching initiatives
Demonstrating a strong commitment to quality education and meaningful student interaction

Qualifications & Requirements

An earned Ph.D. from a reputable, internationally recognized institution
A strong record of published research in peer-reviewed venues
Demonstrated experience in supervising graduate student research (MS and/or PhD level)
Relevant teaching experience at the university level
Teaching and/or professional or industrial experience in the respective area of specialization
Fluency in English is required, as English is the medium of instruction at KFUPM
Candidates with Middle East expertise, regional experience, or area studies knowledge are especially encouraged to apply
Affiliation with a prestigious, top-ranked global university as listed in the QS World University Rankings is expected
