Business Strategy & Commercialization Intern (Part-Time) — Hong Kong

About the Role

We are seeking 2–3 motivated and intellectually curious part-time interns based in Hong Kong to support our business strategy and commercialization efforts across innovative engineering technologies and patented products. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to real-world innovation commercialization, strategic business development, and international industry networking — all while working flexibly around your existing academic or professional commitments.

This role is ideal for a driven university student or recent graduate with a strong interest in entrepreneurship, engineering innovation, or business strategy who is eager to contribute meaningfully from day one.

Responsibilities

• Research potential industries, companies, and strategic buyers relevant to our engineering technologies and patented products
• Assist in developing and refining business strategies and commercialization roadmaps
• Support professional outreach and relationship-building through LinkedIn and other professional channels
• Help facilitate communication with potential partners, clients, and industry stakeholders
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and inform strategy
• Assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, and business development materials
• Contribute ideas and insights during internal strategy discussions and planning sessions
• Track outreach activity and research findings in an organised, structured manner

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university programme or a recent graduate — First Class Honours preferred
• Strong written English communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and professional correspondence
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and professional online communication platforms
• Genuine interest in at least one of the following: business strategy, innovation, engineering, patents, or entrepreneurship
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively across a part-time schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic background in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Innovation Management, or a related discipline
• Prior experience in LinkedIn networking, business development, research, or a relevant internship setting
• Exposure to patent commercialization, technology transfer, or startup ecosystems is an advantage

Working Arrangement

• Part-time commitment: 5–10 hours per week
• Location: Hybrid remote, based in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate academic or other professional commitments
