About the Organisation

Alongside the Aviation Security Service — the nationwide provider for aviation security — the CAA offers distinctively different career opportunities and embraces diverse talent across all levels of the organisation.

Our vision is clear and compelling: a safe and secure aviation system, so people are safe and feel safe when they fly. Our values — Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Transparency, and Collaboration — guide everything we do. We are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and able to contribute their best.

About the Role

As Analyst, Governance and Secretariat, you will support the Authority's governance, planning, and reporting functions by providing analysis, insights, and coordination that help the organisation operate effectively. Working with stakeholders across the CAA, you will contribute to key accountability and planning processes, maintain governance and reporting systems, and help ensure leaders have access to accurate, timely information to support informed decision-making and strong organisational performance.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working across a variety of activities and finds satisfaction in improving processes, delivering quality information, and contributing to organisational success. You will be comfortable balancing attention to detail with a broader strategic perspective, and you will bring a collaborative, relationship-focused approach to everything you do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse information, trends, and risks to provide meaningful and actionable insights

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the governance and secretariat function
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of materials for governance committees and leadership forums
  • Monitor and track organisational commitments, actions, and reporting deadlines to ensure accountability

What You'll Bring

You are a highly organised and analytically minded professional who thrives in a role that sits at the intersection of data, governance, and stakeholder engagement. You take pride in delivering work of a consistently high standard and are motivated by knowing your contributions directly support effective leadership and organisational performance.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience supporting governance, planning, reporting, or business performance functions within a complex organisation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate them into clear, practical insights
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and accessible way
  • Confidence working with data and systems, including Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a genuinely collaborative, relationship-focused approach
  • Sound judgement, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Why Join Us

The CAA offers a supportive and inclusive workplace where your work genuinely matters. In addition to a competitive salary, you will enjoy:

  • 5 weeks annual leave, with an additional 2 days after five years of continuous service
  • Sick leave entitlements from day one of employment, plus ten days domestic leave annually
